Henry Powell & Son are a family owned funeral directory. They’ve been providing their services to the people of Southampton, Totton and the New Forest for over 220 years. Although they are a well-established, long running business, owner Wendy said that they “understand the need for having an online presence”. We’re proud to say we have now been working with them for 5 years this coming summer.
How we helped
To be able to fully understand what Henry Powell & Son needed so that we could help them in the best way possible, we carried out a website audit to assess the current state of the site and just how well it was performing. They’d previously used an SEO package so we did some further research off this to see where our help could benefit them most moving forward.
Our team liaised with Henry Powell & Son and did some more research before coming to the conclusion that our search monthly package would help significantly and drive a lot more traffic to the website. We agreed the suitable keywords and phrases with the client then began our work. We started over and re-did all existing work on there in order to give us a fresh perspective on the site and SEO campaign.
When we began the SEO campaign with Henry Powell & Son, their online visibility rapidly improved. Across Google, Yahoo and Bing, the visibility percentage consistently increased and has since been making progress from the campaign. The work conducted by our team has therefore resulted in a first place position on all three search engines. Ultimately, this has driven a lot more traffic to their website. In addition to the consistent rise in traffic, the bounce rate has also remained below 50%. This indicates even further progress has been made.
