1. The Challenge

After starting their business in 2013 with a retail store and a basic, static website with limited social media presence The WOW Shop found it to be increasingly difficult to run their growing business as well as trying to increase awareness with limited time to spend on marketing.

The WOW Shop approached RTD in 2016 to create a new e-commerce website as well as online marketing, generating sales, increasing social media presence and helping their brand to gain exposure in a competitive market. After initial conversations with our account management team, it was clear that RTD’s Facebook Marketing and Shopify e-commerce services were perfect to accomplish their goals.

2. The solution

After a number of consultation calls with the client, our Facebook advertising team executed the following tasks:

Define targeting

We created a target customer group of Females, between the age of 24-37 based in the UK & Ireland and used advanced targeting to narrow down the audiences using common interests and page likes.

Create adverts

We created a number of static, video and dynamic advertising campaigns on the Facebook platform.

Integrate software

Our team installed the Facebook pixel tracking code, website analytics software and integrated the Shopify platform into Facebook sales channels and Facebook product catalog feeds.

Test, measure & report

We created a number of campaigns using different targeting groups, adverts and budgets to measure and then report on what campaigns are delivering the best return on the advertising spend

The strategy for The WOW Shop was delivered in three strands:

1.

Traffic, Engagement & Brand

The key objectives were to raise local brand awareness in Cheshire as well as drive online and in-store sales so our team created a number of static image, carousel, and video slideshow adverts and boosted relevant posts that showed off their most popular products to drive initial interest.
2.

In-store Sales

After running various split tests, we found that the audience responded best to Facebook Messenger driven adverts which allows the customers to discuss the custom balloon designs with a member of the WOW Shop team before picking up from the store. This now accounts for 75% of all marketing driven sales.
3.

E-commerce & Retargeting

Using the Facebook Pixel and Facebook product catalogs we tracked users that visited specific product pages of the e-commerce site and presented the exact products that the customer had been looking at to drive high conversions and a lot a new sales.

3. The results

Within the first three months of RTD taking over the Facebook Marketing for The WOW Shop, they saw a 462% increase in sales, 62% increase in visits and 140% increase in online orders. Not only that, but the WOW Shop’s team have seen a dramatic increase of in-store sales, Vickkie the owner commented “We’re not sure what you’re doing but our shop has never been busier! Keep it up”
